DOCUMENTATION FOR YOUR TEAM
Keep the manual close at hand.
Request the Vessel controller manual. BRAIN reviews your request and sends the appropriate documentation personally.
VESSEL CONTROLLER · ALSO A STANDALONE PRODUCT
Your existing vessel.
New possibilities.
For all vessels
The Vessel controller is available for all vessels, including those from other manufacturers. We tailor the connection to the sensors, filling valves and control requirements already present.
Your data remains yours
Measurement data is fully available to the user. View level, temperatures, alarm history and the logbook; use CSV log files for your own analysis and reporting.
One point of contact
From connections and layout to explaining operation to your team and supporting daily use. BRAIN Service is available 24/7 when you need help.
INSIGHT AT THE VESSEL
The information you need every day.
One screen brings together the vessel level, temperature channels, control state and trends.
Level and temperature
View the level in millimetres and as a percentage of the configured vessel height, alongside three temperature channels. Level percentage is not a direct measurement of volume in litres.
Process state and outputs
See whether the vessel is operating normally, requesting a refill, pre-cooling or filling. The touchscreen displays the output and alarm states reported by the controller.
Trends and consumption estimate
Follow level and temperature in the graph. With sufficient usable history, USE 24H can show an estimate of level loss in mm per 24 hours.
Understand alarms
Read the active alarm name and review events in the logbook. Sensor faults, level warnings and filling diagnostics remain visible in the process information.
Appropriate settings
Vessel and control parameters include level and temperature thresholds, timing conditions and calibration. Changes are made through authorised service controls.
History and logging
Process data and alarm events are logged locally. The touchscreen offers daily graphs, an alarm page and a logbook for review and service.
THE AUTOMATIC FILLING CYCLE
From measuring to refilling.
Click a step to see what the controller assesses at that point. Exact limits and enabling conditions belong to the specific installation.
Assess the level
The controller compares the measured level with the configured limits. When filling is required, it creates a request.
Wait for permission
If the installation requires permission, the request remains visible while the controller assesses it. A request on the screen does not mean the filling valve has opened.
Cool the piping first
With pre-cooling enabled, the bypass stage follows. The controller assesses the piping temperature and configured timing conditions before the main stage can begin.
Fill to the configured threshold
During automatic filling, the controller monitors the level. At the configured stop level it returns to normal operation; blocking and timing conditions may end the cycle earlier.
LOCAL OPERATION
Familiar functions. Clear feedback.
- 01
Read the vessel
Check the level, temperatures and recognisable device name.
- 02
Check the conditions
Read the status, any alarm message and the trend in the graph.
- 03
Choose the appropriate function
Operate according to the instructions for this installation.
- 04
Assess the result
Check the returned state and actual operation at the product.
MUTETemporarily mute the alarm sound+
Requests muting of the buzzer. The alarm text and cause remain present; the alarm still needs follow-up.
DEFOGRequest a time-limited defog cycle+
Requests a short, configured cycle during which the filling output may be activated. This function does not depressurise the installation.
HANDFILLManual filling after confirmation+
The touchscreen asks for confirmation and shows the maximum duration. Manual filling requires continuous supervision and an independent level check; the automatic Fill stop from normal operation does not apply here.
AUTO/STOPReturn to automatic control+
Returns control to the automatic logic and can end a manual cycle. Automatic filling may restart if needed; this button does not permanently isolate the physical supply.
RESETReassess alarms and process conditions+
Requests reassessment by the controller. This is not a factory reset. A persistent cause remains relevant and a filling request may return.
A confirmation such as CMD OK confirms command transfer. The current state, returned readings and actual physical operation together show the result. Follow the instructions for your installation when operating it.

FROM CIRCUIT BOARD TO OPERATION
Controller. Firmware. Touchscreen.
The controller processes sensors and contact signals. The firmware runs the process logic, assesses conditions and determines the requested output states.
The touchscreen displays this information and passes on operating commands and authorised parameter changes. When networked, the data can also be available in BRAIN SMU.
The visuals and function overview show our own development. Hardware, software and settings are selected as a suitable combination for each installation.
